These two kurdish guys run a corner shop down the road from my old London flat, on Hackney Road. On my b-days they always gave me a bottle of wine. So yeah, they used to be one of the ingredients of a good day :) So I pop by when I'm there. Out of the blue. And then disappear again. Such is life.

Selfridges
Oxford Street is hectic, but Selfridges is worth a visit. The window displays are always fun and creative.
Shopping should be a theatre says Selfridges creative director! Nice.

Taking Skeive Berit to London
My friend Hans Petter makes these fun dolls called Skeive Berit. She's lesbian, loves travelling so she came along to London. She has her own blog, where you can read about her trip. If you care for your own Berit, you can order one from Hans Petter's blog.
Here, at Portobello Market, with my cousin Anne Stine.

Unexpected inspiration on the tube
When in London I prefer the bus, although it takes ages. This time I ventured down under ground quite a few times though. I'm glad - cause I found these beautiful mosaic walls down there :)
and these tiles...

From Egypt to London
After a week in Egypt I'm off to London for a week.
In London I'll see my dad, see friends, interview some people for articles I'm writing, pick up some necklaces and scarves i've been selling in the lovely boutique No-One. Etc etc.

Crossing paths
A week in Egypt, with no internet. Quite fantastic! Just now I found a place that has access.
It's 30 degrees, evening, am sitting outside at an outdoor cafe. The cafe owner tells me he loooves facebook! I tell him I'm not on it, and he thinks I'm nuts. Most people might agree.
Anyway, I check my email and I've gotten one from my lovely photographer friend Andreas Omvik, who lives in Stockholm. Saying he is in Egypt. He sent me this picture of happy charter tourists :)
I call him straight away, ready to hang out. Sadly, he had just returned to Sweden.
