A day-trip to Vestfossen Art Lab

A couple of weeks ago some friends and I went for a one-day excursion to Vestfossen Art Gallery just outside Drammen. It was a saturday and the opening of their current exhibition FRYKT (Fear). I recommend you all to go...
The place has been set up by artist Morten Viskum, and I got so impressed that I invited his right hand Mari Sundet to speak at Pecha Kucha the following thursday.

The launch of 'Turma do Infinito'

My friend Rai Oliveira has recently launched his first childrens book. The launch was on saturday 21st of may, at the very nice bookshop Livraria da Vila da Fradique Coutinho in Sao Paulo, which we went to a few times when I was visiting a couple of months ago. His book is about the kids Filó, Sofia, Zen og Sol and is about the philosophy of life! How we're all connected and well, the importance of being kind to each other. Mark the names: Filo & Sofia = philosophy... nice huh! More info, in portuguese, on Rai's site here!

To the right is Rai's mother. She's 90 and you would never believe it. Her secret: eating Acai and being in a loving relationship :)

Cooking for the Burmese

I'm looking through pictures from the past few months. And found these ones, from the trip to Thailand. Here Vilde and I are in Mae Sot, on the boarder of Burma, cooking norwegian food to a bunch of Burmese guys - all former political prisoners - who we became friends with. Here we're in Thiha's place, who is a good friend of Vilde. They all enjoyed the Linie aquavit!

Thiha and his friend Marcus runs ExPPACT, which is a counseling & training service for ex-political Burmese prisoners.

Oh and Vilde, she lives in Thailand on and off, speaks fluent thai which is extremely impressive, and has this blog: Vilde's Nye Meninger!

Feeling LUCKY

... for having the job I have! I'm so grateful! I get to meet so many new people, see new things, travel, learn, be inspired, be challenged, no day is alike, I love the contrasts, the freedom...  Here, I was leaving one of the many jobs I've done this week while in London, and I was like WOW, I just LOVE that I can do what I do!! Halleluja :)

A Random Coffee with 7 year old Ben

I was sitting in Surf/Skate/Snow, a coffee shop on Brick Lane, on sunday. With the aim of getting some work done. Then this little kid came and sat next to me. - I would like to sit with you, he said! His name is Ben, and his father works at a stall at the market, so he was kind of hanging around on his own. Or well, with me, for a few hours! We started drawing and he played some games on my phone. Nice :)

Morning Run at Arsenal Football Stadium

The past two mornings Cecilie and I have gotten up at 7.30 and gone out for a run around the stadium which is just by their house. They have ditched the grimy east London for a more suburb feel, and the area is sooo nice. When we went running in east london when we both lived there, ghetto kids often screamed the weirdest things to us... How they wanted to F**K us like this and that!!! So you can imagine; it is pretty nice to run in an area where there is none of that :)

Cecilie!

My Mobile Office: Cecilie's flat in London

Cecilie snapped this painting-like picture last night. We had a saturday night in; I was writing, she was playing her ukulele and Bob were making mussels and we were all drinking Prosecco.

A DJ on a Roof Top

The other day I DJ'ed at the Gina Tricot press day for their new collection. It was sunny and windy up on the roof top at Emil & Samuel. It was a super nice event with great food and drinks. And after this, I ran off to work at Pecha Kucha for the rest of the evening.

Cake Party at Line's place...

My friend Line, who I used to live with in London, is soon moving back there to go to a french patisserie school for a year. She is amazing at making cakes, and has decided to quit her job in music management to pursue her sweet dream. The evening before this party, my friend Vilde and I were at Line's place "helping out"... we were like two kids throwing ourselves at everything Line made.

Virgin Walk across a new Bridge

I went for a walk in the industrial concrete jungle of downtown Oslo, and for the first time walked across this new bridge.

In London for May 17th (Norway's Independence Day!)

...  but the job I was asked to do was pretty cool! I'll be here for a week. Working, staying with friends, seeing my dad and I have just been to Bikram yoga! Now I'm sitting in my friend's studio working away.

These pictures were taken outside my Grunerløkka-studio in Oslo, the day before I left. I already had the 17th of may colourful whatever's it's called in place. Oh well, next year...

Supergirls into Superfoods

Perhaps we're being brainwashed. But nevertheless, my friend Linn and I went to David Sandoval's seminar about health and superfood, and we're now totally into green chlorella powder and spirulina and all the rest of it. Perhaps it lasts, perhaps not. But we found it super interesting!
