My man and I packed the car the other week and went off for three days. No plan. That's how we like it. This is what we saw...

I'm soon changing work-space
I've been working in this lovely building for a couple of years now. At Mølla, by Akerselva.
But soon I'm leaving this lovely bunch of boys, most of them work in Red Rabbits, to find a studio with some other people. Change of scenery and new creative input is always good :)

Kids in my backyard
It seems like, when kids grow up playing in the streets of Tøyen (on the east side of oslo), pigeons become their playfriends! These two live in my block, and here we're hanging in the backyard.

Burberry House
A few months ago I did a story on artist Jens Werner Andersen, who lives in his Burberry-painted house in Larvik, in the south of Norway. After i wrote the piece, it's now been blogged about all over. Such are the days of the Internet. No copyright. Free float of information. Oh well.
The house is an art installation in itself, and earlier on he painted it in camouflage colours, and before that, he let all the graffiti people in town tag down his house.
Jens is a cool dude, and I love the house. Recently he sold it, cause his love lives in Oslo. He chose her. Naturally. So the era of the Burberry house is over.

Happy 17th of May!!
Today is Norway's independence day. That means the city will look like this, and everyone will be dressed in either the national costume or in red, white and blue!

Playing records at Stratos tonight
This girl I know is getting married this summer. This is their final party before they run of and marry. Stratos is at the top floor of one of the few high rises in Oslo, and has a great view.
I'll be playing happy dancy tunes.

Photoworkshop with Ron Haviv
For five days I'm gonna learn from the award-winning photojournalist Ron Haviv! He is a co-founder of VII and he has produced some of the most important images of conflict and other humanitarian crises that have made headlines from around the world since the end of the Cold War.

Performing at Henne Award with Marte Krogh today
The norwegian magazine HENNE is giving out a "young female entrepreneur"-award today (Startknappen). Together with violinist Marte Krogh I'm doing a short music-performance. I DJ, while she plays the violin on top of a few electronic tunes. Musically, it's an unexpected combination - it is super nice and HOT :)

Roadbird by ROA
The belgian street artist ROA had a solo exhibition at Pure Evil's gallery in Shoreditch.
While there, he painted a huge bird off Brick Lane, just down the road from where I used to live. My friend Pure Evil sent me this picture. Beautiful :) If there's something I miss here in Oslo, it's such pleasant everyday surprises!
I also dig this one
