The Swimming Fisherman

One early morning at Flaskebekk, Espen, my brother Nikolai and I headed down to the "bathing house" to have our coffee and enjoy the somber morning. Espen had set out fishing yarn the night before. As we have no boat, he swam out, and rowed out the next morning to get it. And he got two fish!

Home-made Fermented Whale!

This weekend Espen made fermented whale. With the use of salt, sugar and rosemary - he packed it and compressed it and put it cold for two days. And scroll down to see the result, which he served with flowers from the garden!

AND CHECK OUT THE RESULT!! BEAUTIFUL, HUH?! MY MAN IS MY DREAM-MAN!!

Rustic Outdoor Pancakes

In our easter holiday, Espen, my mum, my brother and I, went for a cross country trek (a very short one) and decided to make a fire and make pancakes out in the mountains.

So, here we are :)

Winter Weekend

It's been a while... and I haven't been at some remote place in Spain all this time. I've been in the wintery norway. Which finally, is getting lighter and lighter everyday. And sunny!! Like it was last weekend, when I headed to the mountains with friends:
Linn + Hansa and their 4 year old daughter Frida.
Colleen + Magnus and their dog for the weekend Malou (which I became really fond of).
And Espen + I.

Magnus is an excellent cook, and had just been to Mexico City, so he brought some mexican flavours to the table on the saturday night.

When Norway is like this in the winter, there is nothing like it!

Eldrevann // Autumn in the Norwegian Mountains

A month ago ++ Espen and I and our friends Anders and Anna took a long weekend at my family's cabin at Eldrevann, close to Hemsedal. We went for walks in the mountains, hung-out, cooked, read books, had fun.
