The Shabby side of Copenhagen

When Espen and I stayed in a house boat in Cph for a while (I was just visiting, her was there for 6 weeks), we passed by these houses which were nearby. And yup, people live here. I suppose it has it's own charm.

I really like the New Yorker. And these covers, they are brilliant.

And this one, in reference to Gaddafi.

Article about Occupy Wall Street

When I was in New York in november I decided to do a piece on the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations. I headed down there, spent lots of time, started talking to people, took lots of photos. There was an immense energy, enthusiasm, they were all part of something big, creating history. It was quite exciting to be in the midst of it all.

The article and photos were published in the norwegian magazine Innsikt last month. It can be read online here!

Stimulating encounter with Jan Kjærstad

I interviewed the norwegian writer Jan Kjærstad a couple of months ago, for a one-page regular piece in D2 called "my work-desk". It was a super nice meeting. Since I have lived in London (he found out) he gave me this book of his, Kongen av Europa, about a guy who travels to London and leaves everything behind. I've just started reading. "Thank you for a stimulating meeting" he signed it with.
Well, I LOVE my job.

Fantastic Wedding Photo

Friends of mine are getting married in march. They've asked me to take their wedding shots. I'm honored to be asked and my instant reaction was; "Hey guys... Are you sure!?!?". But yup, they think I can handle it. So I'v been doing some research and came across this image taken by photographer Cliff Mautner, which I think is fantastic :)

Orange Party

I found these images, which I took a long while ago. I'm at a cabin in the south of norway, and one of these guys, who works at a theatre, brought a light-box and smoke-machine with him.
So we created this insane orange club-setting and danced around. Very funny.

MAAEMO

I had dinner here last weekend. 9 courses of indulgence. It's one of the best restaurant in Oslo, perhaps Europe, right now. Pricey but superb!

ada kokosar

For great style and styling keep an eye on Italian fashion consultant and stylist Ada Kokosar. Check out her website with images of her work here. A while back (perhaps it's still there) you were greeted with a quote from fashion historian James Laver when entering her site: "Clothes are inevitable. They are nothing less than the furniture of the mind made visible."

KIDS

I walked by these kids a couple of months ago in Oslo. They were so sweet I had to ask the boy's mum if I could photograph them. They have been friends since they were born and they told me they were also boyfriend and girlfriend :)
