Pecha Kucha @ Sukkerbiten

Sukkerbiten is a great outdoor spot in Oslo, which is open during the summer. It's located by the opera-house, just by the seaside, and they serve mussles, fries, burgers etc, while having DJ's play, events going on, etc.

Pecha Kucha opened this years season, with a Pecha Kucha Special on cultural projects in Oslo and Bergen. Kasper and I were hosting.

A couple of weeks ago, Marte Krogh and I performed at a summer party at a roof terrace in Oslo.

 

My walk to the Office

Oslo is beautiful these days. Early autumn, sunny days, crisp mornings. I walk past the castle and Slottsparken in the morning, and it is such a nice walk!

One Year Later

It's been a year since 22nd of July. Therefore I'm reposting these pictures, that I took last year. In a few hours I'll head to Rådhusplassen to be at the official ceremony, and then meet up with friends to spend the evening with them.

Welcome to our new Place

We bought this flat in january and have our hands full with renovation work these days. Nothing has been done here since the 1950's. Our plan is to buy the loft and have a 2-floor apartment. I'll share pictures from the process with you here. It's at Lindern, a beautiful neigbourhood, with lots of buildings like ours!

Conférencier at Forsmak Food Festival, Vulcan in Oslo

This past weekend there was a food festival in Oslo. With farmers from allover the country, local products, heaps of coffee, cheese, bread, meat. And lots of food-debates, food-workshops, places to hang out, etc etc. It was a massive success, with 30 000 - 35 000 people visitors during the two days.


I was leading the debates and was conferencier (ordstyrer / debattleder) during both days. I had no chance of taking pictures, so I've taken these from friend Ingvild Telle's very nice blog!

MAAEMO

I had dinner here last weekend. 9 courses of indulgence. It's one of the best restaurant in Oslo, perhaps Europe, right now. Pricey but superb!

KIDS

I walked by these kids a couple of months ago in Oslo. They were so sweet I had to ask the boy's mum if I could photograph them. They have been friends since they were born and they told me they were also boyfriend and girlfriend :)

Friends at Flaskebekk

I'm looking back at pictures from this summer. And feeling extremely fortunate. 
These pix are from one weekend in late august, when some of my favourite people in the world were hanging out, having dinner, sleeping over, fishing, swimming and cooking food at my family's lovely summer-house "Flaskebekk", at Nesodden in the Oslo-fjord. 


Meet Linn + Hansa and their super cool daughter Frida. And meet Colleen (Magnus, her guy, couldn't make it), Espen and myself. Looking forward to have you soon again.

Then we went down to the sea to collect some mussels. We were watching....

 while the guys were hunting...

 .. we stood there in awe.. :)

 Then the guys had a swim in the Oslo-fjord

 Then we ate plums from the garden

 and were happy!

 and had a chat about something interesting...

Then it was time to cook. We made chips out of sweet potatoes. 

And made thai-inspired mussles. 

Then we stayed out on the balcony until late, but I have no pictures of that. The next morning Frida was the first one up. Espen and I volunteered to get up with her. We had a nice morning watching kids-tv. 

Then we headed down to the "badehus". Hansa is fishing for our breakfast. 

The only picture of me... That's how it is when you love to photograph. I'm chilling with the saturday paper, in mis-matching clothes, shoes with two different colours and Ugly-Betty glasses. Life is splendid. 

Hansa got one!!!

Frida is proud of her dad!!

Then Frida and Espen, who's been bonding big-time over blue nail-polish, went for a trip.
