Beachtime

Time on the beach... I haven't had that for almost a year I think. And then it was only for a day or two. So I was quite happy to be able to squeeze in a couple of days on the beach, in between my cousin Marianne's wedding, hanging out with family, going on trips, drinking champagne to celebrate and dinners.

... and it's beautiful! We've spent almost a week in Cinque Terre and went on a day-trip to all the five towns. They all look like this, hilly and colourful.

Pantone Cakes

For the latest issue of food magazine Fricote, the French food designerEmilie de Griottes created these wonderful Pantone tarts, all color coded to the exact Pantone color ! I'm a fan!! What a FANTASTIC idea!

Shooting Weddings....

A couple of months ago I shot the wedding of Andrea & Christian. It was an honour to be asked, as it's the first wedding I've shot. Here are a few of the shots. At the moment of writing I'm in Italy, shooting my second wedding. For my cousin, but nevertheless, it's fantastic to be trusted to do it! Chao!

Off to Cinque Terre, Italy

Today I'm off to Cinque Terre in Italy for a week, because my cousin is getting married there! And I'm even doing their wedding photos :)

First stop is Milan with my mum and younger cousin Anne-Stine for a night. Then this colourful beauty, which is on unesco's list!

Interview and Portraits - Elmgreen & Dragset

A month ago I went to Berlin to interview & photograph this super cool artist duo. I visited their amazing 1000 square meter space, where they had large installations and works standing allover. I had a super nice day with them - it's such a treat to do jobs like these. The result is in this months issue of Aftenpostens culture magazine K! It's worth a read, cause I'm a fan of the result!

Damien Hirst in London

Two weekends ago Espen and I went to London, to see my dad and to visit my friend Line. I'm really glad we got t see the Damien Hirst exhibition which is at Tate Modern. I think he makes incredible stuff. His large scale butterflies images, that resembles those huge windows in churches, which he has put in careful and strict order - well, t's fantastic. There was so much more to it than his colourful dots and fermented animals.

Coco de Paris

Coco de Paris is a mixed media designer who paints these lovely creatures on antique french paper. This series was illustrated on a weekly French literary journal that published plays, novels, and short stories in the 1920s.  Cool, huh? If you are interested in this unique piece of art visit her etsy shop! I might want a few of these in our new home :)

London Townhouse

A few years ago I did this interior piece in London, for Aftenposten. This norwegian/indian family lives Islington, and Arpna - the lady in the floor-matching t-shirt - used to run Pecha Kucha Night here in Oslo before they moved to London, which I now run. World Press Freedom Day - Today!

Not all journalist are as fortunate as I am; I work in country which has complete press freedom and I never have to address the issue when working in my country. 


Every year, May 3rd is a date which celebrates the fundamental principles of press freedom; to evaluate press freedom around the world, to defend the media from attacks on their independence and to pay tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession.


This years celebration will take place in Tunisia. Get more info here!

Day Off: swim, sunburn, tree-climbing!

We had our first swim in the ocean this year (10 degrees), have been cutting trees in the garden all day and got a sunburn! Nice spring-day at the summer-house! Here's Espen!
