Espen makes the most fantastic breakfasts. They look great and taste great. Which is great, as I'm not as dedicated and patient in the morning. I REALLY appreciate his efforts and am so grateful when I wake up to this :)

Queen Sonja & Andy Warhol

If you're in norway, have a read in the summer issue of K, where you can read my interview with the Queen, about her meeting with the legendary pop-artist Andy Warhol. The polaroids he took of her 30 years ago are published for the first time, exclusively in K.

Meeting Queen Sonja

I had the honor of meeting the Queen last week, as I interviewed her for a really nice article coming up in Aftenposten's culture magazine K. It was a pleasure!

She turns 75 today so it´s a good day to post this picture, which I took of her, while I was at it :)

30 years ago she was photographed by Andy Warhol, and the result is here in the background. The 6 different screen-prints are now exhibited at the Henie Onstad Art Center.

Last year I also wrote a short piece about this beautiful flat! Ahh, I could just dive into these colours. The interior design is made by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter, for Humlegarden Apartment. I love how they've dared to take a risk.

Renovation - Part II

Espen and I are spending a lot of time figuring out how our new home is going to turn out. We're not doing so much hands-on work these days, but we're planning, having lengthy meetings with the architect, figuring out which builders to use, what kind of style we want etc etc. It's really time-consuming, sometimes frustrating and slightly frightening as this project is so big (renovating the whole flat and building out a new floor on the loft). But we're sticking through, are staying friends (!) and feel fortunate :)
