I'm back home in Oslo. My blog might be polarized, full of contrasts - that's my life, which I really like. So, to leave some of the travel stuff behind, here's some fashion!! 
I couldn't strut down the street in haute coutoure like the fashion icon - but the bag I would like to have!

20 hours in Bangkok

I took the night bus from Mae Sot to Bangkok, where I arrived at 4 am in the morning. My flight to Norway was at 11.55 pm the following evening. IE; a looong day in Bangkok, and very little sleep.
First thing I did was head to the train station where I stored my luggage. Then I went off...


6.30 am, walking in the park close to Chatuchak Market. It was me and the joggers... Nice to see a quiet Bangkok...

7.00 am; having Pad Thai for breakfast, by a siper nice roadside eatery. 

8.00 am; the first person at Chatuchak Market. I spent 3 hours there. Bought lot's of cool stuff, before the rest of the tourists poured in. 

8.30 am; kiddo monks collecting food.

11.00 am; Leaving the market. Off to the Sky Train. Bumped into Tim, a dude from Amsterdam that I got to know at Ko Lantha a few weeks earlier. Went off with a smile, thinking about how those things are even possible :)

Noon; It was the King's birthday that day!! 5th of december. Which was celebrated throughout the whole of Bangkok. 

01.00 pm; went off to Siam Center. Where it was all about x-mas!

14.00; Sushi-time!!

Some orange stuff

17.00 pm; When in Rome... Most people cover up in Bangkok, when riding a Tuk Tuk. As it's so much pollution. I figured I could too. 

18.00 pm; pretty thai dancer girls getting ready to celebrate the King. 

21.00; off to the super nice Bangkok airport. Pretty tired feet. Met up with Tim again here, but forgot to take his picture.

A Splash of Orange in Umpium Refugee Camp

When I was in Mae Sot, I went to visit Umpium Refugee Camp, which houses thousands of Burmese refugees. Visitors are not allowed, unless you work there, but my Burmese friend managed to get me in.


I took lots of pix. But for now, here are these, of this pair of Burmese monks.

My fantastic Canon 5D is DEAD!!

A week ago, during my travel, my beloved camera threw in the towel. I suppose traveling had taken it's toll on it, although i treat it with the greatest care. So, that put me in a pretty tricky situation - since I was heading to the Burma-boarder the day after, and the week to come was filled with tons of things I was heading there to photograph. 


I spent half a day in a super huge shopping mall in Chiang Mai, with a whole floor full of photo-shops. People just shook their heads. To fix it, would take minimum 2 weeks. A new one.. well, too expensive there and then.

But... nice people always seem to help me out. This time, it was a norwegian girl named Line, who I had never met before. She lives 2 hours from Mae Sot, in a tiny village, together with a Burmese Karen family. I was going there to spend a night there, and she sent me off, with her canon 40D camera. Which was superb, cause I could use my own lenses. 


I am super grateful. The photographs I'll post on this blog in the coming week has been snapped thanx to her :)

Loving to Ride the Moped

Riding the moped around the Mae Sot area is one of my favourite things to do these days. Or sitting on the back of someone's motorbike. Love it.
Apart from that I've been busy. Very buys. In a good way. That's why it's been so quiet. Updates will come soon!
