Pure Evil

This is my London-friend Charlie, AKA Pure Evil, in action! He's known for his rabbits, which he splatters on the walls all over London. He runs a nice street art gallery in Shoreditch!

The Cove

A few days ago I watched The Cove, an Academy Award® Winner for Best Documentary of 2009. The documentary follows an elite team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers as they embark on a covert mission to penetrate a remote and hidden cove in Taiji, Japan, shining a light on a dark and deadly secret: the slaughtering of dolphins, just cause us humans are greedy and wants more of EVERYTHING. You've got to see it!

Dyna Fyr - the charming little lighthouse

The other day I headed out to do a piece on Dyna Fyr, a charming little lighthouse in the Oslo fjord. It's a place I've always wondered about, but never been to before. Along came photographer Kimm Saatvedt

I enden up heading back with my b-friend a few days later (I surprised him...), for a fantastic evening: We were, along with 40 other guests, picked up by Aker-Brygge in a boat, served cava, and were in for a three course dinner. Very very very nice!

I'm a Poser

My cousin Anne-Stine took these of me, as we strolled trough Oslo together. The bike, my favourite, was sadly stolen last week!

My Friend Mai

Mai just turned 30, and celebrated with a scottish-inspired bash! We used to go to kindergarden together, became friends after meeting at a party in London. Now we're both back in Oslo - she working for Save the Children.

Sweet like Honey

This summer I spent some time in a tiny village in the Chablis area of France. We stayed in the house of french-norwegian photographer Yann. One day we went along with him to visit one of the neighbours; an old lady, apparently a duchess, who lived in a huge run-down house. As the years has passed she's lost most of her money, so when we drank white wine and ate biscuits inside, and tried to converse with our non-existent french, there was basically nothing to sit on.

What she did have, was honey! Plenty of it... In her huge back-yard there was a production going on, that served the whole village. We came along to see some daily life-honey-drama!

Oh no, the honey isn't just pouring out of the container as it usually does. Perhaps it will melt in the sun...

Hmm, what to do... Contemplations contemplations...

Super cool bee-houses

Wanna taste?

Polka Magazine

If I spoke french, I would subscribe to this photography magazine. I dig it.

FATHER

I'm lucky to have a great father. Or actually, I have two. This is "far", at our summer place in Kjerringvik in the south of Norway. The other one, my "pappa", lives in London.

I took these earlier this summer, as he was completely matching the pale blue and pink sky. Doesn't he look nice...!!

Walking to Work

I usually walk to work. I love the stroll across town. These days it has turned really cold, but the sun is shining and it's beautiful.

This is how it looked this morning... I love autumn when it's like this.

People at Work

I love this photo document of workers all over the world, which I found at the Boston Globe. We're all just trying to have an ok life - no matter where we are in the world. Here's a selection! And now, get to work - it's MONDAY!

Polka Galerie

When I was in Paris, I popped by Polka Galerie, a really nice photo gallery. This time around they had an exhibition by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh. He has shot most of the "classic supermodels" of the 90s, including this, of Kate Moss.

Palace Grill, Oslo

A few days ago I spent a day with the chefs at Palace restaurant, which is one of the coolest and probably also the best restaurant in Oslo. I did a piece on them for the Fairtrade magazine, which is out this week!

At Palace you get served a ten course meal, a take-it or leave-it kind of deal. They take no reservations, so you better show up at around 3pm and to wait for one of the very few tables they have. Once a dude from the Michelin Guide came to eat, but he came too late and was rejected at the door. Such is life - here everyone is equally important. The three chefs are super creative, work in a tiny kitchen and come up with an entirely new menu every night. Meet Alex, Andreas and Matthew & look at the cool interior.

My new friend PK Mahanandia

A few weeks ago I did a profile interview on PK Mahanandia – the dalit Indian who cyckled from India to Sweden to find Lotta who he had fallen in love with.

It’s a fantastic story! And PK is a really really nice man – we’ll stay in touch.

I got to know him as he was invited to speak at Pecha Kucha, which I hosted here in Oslo. We hung out and then I went to see him and his family in BorÃ¥s, Sweden. We spent a whole day there, eating Indian food and talking. He tells his story to inspire people to follow their heart, never give up and to explain about the cast system in India. The piece about him was in Aftenposten last saturday.

PK & Lotta - still in love, 35 years later...

PK, always happy

Check out the sign he made for me when we arrived :) What a generous and sweet welcoming! Ahh, my heart melts when I meet people like this...

When you miss your plane...

Sometimes things can go so wrong... You come running towards the check-in counter, and hope the person sitting there is full of empathy. I've done this twice before, ended up missing the planes, so I know the game! But this time, we were so late that the counter was completely empty. We - being my younger brother and I. He came with me to Paris.
So... we ended up paying heaps to get back the day after, staying in some crap airport hotel, and having to call and cancel all my appointments for the following day.

Lesson learnt? To have plenty of time!! Does anyone have some spare time to lend me???
