Frida's Pink Nails

Yesterday I hung out with my dear friend Linn's 2 year old daughter Frida. She's super cool and she  wanted pink nails too, just like mine! Here's some blurry iPhone pix :)

Flying Home

I've just returned back home. Still have plenty of pictures to show and things to tell from Brazil, but I'll post it in the next few weeks. I've had a wonderful trip, and it's always weird to leave a place and know that you'll be far away and things will continue as they are without me there. I wish I could be everywhere, and I feel so grateful for having these opportunities of traveling and also of having friends all over the world. Makes me happy!
And I'm finally done reading this book by Jonathan Franzen!! Yeah!

The Masters of Fantastic Colour Combinations!!

The whole town of Lençóis looks like this. Almost like candy houses. It's a treat to be there for those with color-loving eyes. My eyes love it!

Stephan Doitschinoff's work in Lençois

Stephan aka CALMA spent almost two years in Lençois, to get some quiet time to paint. He then started painting some of the houses in town, and also a chapel and grave stones on the church yard. It's really really nice. I took these pictures last week, so this is how it looks two/three years later. Check out more of his work Stephan Doitschinoff's work!

Cooking Fresh Pasta in Lençóis, Brazil

I've been visiting my friend Stephan's sister for almost a week, in the small town of Lençóis, by the beautiful natural area Chapada Diamantina. When I arrived I thought I would stay for a day or two, but ended up staying, as we had such a good time together. Deborah Doitschinoff is a chef and runs the really really nice restaurant Cozinha Aberta. Everything is slow food, made from scratch, inspired by her travels around the world. She has a daughter named Sophia, and here we are cooking fresh pasta in her kitchen!
