Humlegården, Sweden

Last year I also wrote a short piece about this beautiful flat! Ahh, I could just dive into these colours. The interior design is made by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter, for Humlegarden Apartment. I love how they've dared to take a risk.

Welcome to our new Place

We bought this flat in january and have our hands full with renovation work these days. Nothing has been done here since the 1950's. Our plan is to buy the loft and have a 2-floor apartment. I'll share pictures from the process with you here. It's at Lindern, a beautiful neigbourhood, with lots of buildings like ours!

If I was the one to decide...

I would paint several of the roads in Oslo like this...
I'm sorry though, I can't remember where I found this picture, where it is or who took it.

Architectural Treat in the Jungle

When I was in Thailand, on the boarder of Burma, I visited a tiny village called Noh Bo. Here, the norwegian Ole-Jørgen Edna runs an orphanage for burmese children who have fled from Burma. Years ago a few came knocking on his door, he let them stay, and more and more kids kept coming. Now he houses 57 kids. Find out more about his project at blessedhomes.org

These very cool bamboo huts are made by the architects at TYIN tegnestue. They've been mentioned in plenty of architectural mags. Nice, huh. All images by Pasi Aalto.
